It is well known where the Armenians who departed from Anatolia ended up.

The Armenians of the Van region fled to Iran; a large portion of them remain there to this day.

The Armenians of Cappadocia and Cilicia were, for the most part, subject to deportation.

As for the Armenians of Eastern Anatolia, they are now located in present-day Armenia.

The Armenians residing in the rest of Anatolia and in Istanbul migrated to Western countries over time.

The Armenians currently living in South and North America are those who, foreseeing the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire long before the deportations took place, sought prosperity and peace in those lands.

The Armenians found in France, on the other hand, are those who fled from Cilicia.

The reasons why these Armenians fled are abundantly clear.
